ElevCert

What it is

ElevCertis a software tool that turns a field measurement into a FEMA-compliant Elevation Certificate. You answer the wizard section by section — property, flood zone, building diagram, lowest and highest floor elevations, openings, machinery, certification block — and we produce the official FF-206-FY-22-152 form as a printable PDF, ready for your professional seal and signature.

What it solves

• The current FEMA form is dense; small mistakes in Section A can invalidate the certificate. We surface the relevant flood-zone data (panel, suffix, effective date, BFE) from the National Flood Hazard Layer by address, so you don’t have to chase it down per job.
• Section-by-section prompting makes it hard to forget an elevation reading for a diagram-numbered sub-area; cross-section rules catch common omissions (for example, coastal A-zone needing all of Section G).
• Form versions are version-locked per draft: when you start a certificate we record the FEMA form version that was active, so the audit trail on a closed file is unambiguous months later.
• Per-certificate export and firm-level subscriptions let you pay only for what you produce, rather than a flat subscription you may not fill.

Product principles

• The surveyor certifies, not the software. ElevCert formats your input; Section H is your seal and your signature. We will not put ourselves between you and your professional responsibility. See the liability disclaimer for the long form.
• FF-206-FY-22-152 is the source of truth. Our wizard and our PDF are anchored to the published FEMA form. If FEMA publishes a new version, we update the wizard; the version a certificate was produced under stays pinned to that draft.
• Address-aware NFHL lookup, not blind lookup. We surface the flood zone data relevant to the subject address, with a timestamp on the lookup so you know how fresh the data was.
• Version-locked output. A draft created today under form version X remembers X, even if a newer version ships tomorrow.
• No resale of survey data. Your drafts and your field measurements are yours. We do not use them to train third-party models or to advertise to you.

Built for surveyors

ElevCertis made for surveyors, by people who care about floodplain work. Most of the friction we remove is friction we have watched surveyors deal with on real jobs — the wrong panel, a stale map, a missing opening-count photo, a Section H that doesn’t quite match the jurisdiction.
